Let's talk

A digital home for church leaders in the hardest places.

Churches in deprived communities are declining at double the national rate, and those leading them often work in isolation. Through user experience consultancy and discovery, we helped Proximity shape a platform to connect, resource and give voice to urban mission leaders.

01 — The constraint

Committed leaders, working in isolation.

Mission leaders in deprived areas are often committed but under-resourced, and disconnected from each other. Proximity needed more than a website: a living platform serving leaders, missionaries, volunteers and supporters across denominations, backgrounds and class boundaries.

02 — What we built

User experience consultancy, shaped by listening.

A discovery workshop with stakeholders, users and funders surfaced three core messages. They underpinned everything, from site structure to tone of voice, and shaped personas for relocators, remainers and supporters.

  • A sitemap built on resource discovery and thematic storytelling
  • A content model to curate, create and commission
  • Prioritised features, from donations and podcasts to live events
  • Planned integration with Mailchimp and RE NXT
  • Recommendations for branding, tone and contributor pathways
03 — The outcome

A home for a movement, not just content.

The platform is designed to host articles, interviews, videos, practical tools, thought leadership, live events and a contributor network. Like the people it serves, it aims to be thoughtful, unflashy and relational.
